Messing, 'Minister of War, explaining tho change to the invisible blue-grey uniform, stated that the old clothing was as visible at 1500 yards as tho new clothing at 550 yards. England first realised the danger of bright uniforms, and substituted khaki, whilo in the Balkan War the Bulgarians and Servians came to tho same conclusion, and gavo their soldiers uniforms which strengthened their morale and augmented their fighting capacity.
