At tbo annual mcetin_t of the Pastoralists' Association, the president stated that tho flocks o: New- South Wales had decreased by mx millions during the past fivo years. Argentino flocks wero also decreasing. At tho same time, tho world's meat consumption was expanding. All tho indications pointed to a world-wide scarcity of meat and high prices in tho near future. Referring to the late meat strike, ho said it marked an important era in the history of industrial struggles, and proved tho absolute necessity for employers in all callings to form themselves into one powerful organisation to resist the unfair, increasing, and insistent demands of" employees. Unless they did so, they could not hope to remain masters of their own businesses or carry them on with any prospect of success. *
