4 . The death occurred at Palincrstoa_ North on Sunday of an old pioneer* settler of New Zealand in tho person - of Mr' Jess©. J. Redwood. Ho was a cousin to Archbishop Redwood. a«« prior to settling in Palmerston N°g"* lived at Kaikoura and Blenheim. W>was 81 years of ago, and had tieen suffering from a serious illness tor some considerable timo past. Ills *■*•**. ; predeceased him about twelve ™ a _r_r I ago. A son, Mr J. Redwood, of raj"* merston North, and two daughter* Sisters of the Mission at Hamilton aijo Dannevirk© respectively, are left *»-~ mourn their loss.
