METHODIST CHURCH.
CAMBRIDGE TERRACE. The quarterly meeting of the Cambridge Terrace Methodist Church was held on Monday evening, the Rev. B. Meteon presiding over a large attendance of officials. Reports from tho various departments of the circuit stated that everything was in a flourishing condition. Arrangements had been made for special evangelistic servicesHomo and Foreign Mission efforts. Four junior and 14 senior members had been added to the Church roll, and the encouraging outlook was commented upon. The balance-sheet showed a debit of 13s. Resolutions urging th© Government to grant the referendum to the people, that the Bihle-in-SchooTs qxiestion might bo democratically dealt with; and protesting against th© pro-posal-in the Gaming Bill, now before Parliament, to increase the number of racing club permits by 30, were carried. The stewards "moved that the present minister of tho Church bo invited to jemain for a third year to superintend the circuit. Many officials spoko to the resolution, and the invitation was accepted by the Rev. B. Metson.
