"BLAME THE GOVERNMENT."
In lus Epeocb this afternoon, Mr J.C. Thomson condemned the Government generally for being friends of the - moneyed classes, and for being responriblo for the increased cost of living. Why, ho said, even tho price of tobacco had gono up since the CNiwerrv meat took office, and a man uof had to pay ninepenco for a haircut. Everywhere was evidence that the Government woro increasing expenditure instead of reclucinp it. The country was. Doing overrun by Boards and experts. Ono could not get on to a railway train now without being met by an expert of some kind. Expenditure wa» being piled up, and there were proposals to increase it still mere. Hβ would like to know where the reform camo in.
