MR ISITT'S SPEECH.

Mr Isitt spoke in the Address-in-Reply-no-confidence debate . this afternoon. He said ifc was a privilege to voto for the amendment proposed by Sir Joseph Ward, though he knen- it would not be carried. Thumping his fist on the table, he referred to wliat he termed "the. abject submission of tho party to tho Prime Minister." In his speech,- 3lr Isitt also referred to alleged cases, of land aggregation under the Massey Government's legislation. He also made reference to* the action of the Government in "turningdown" a proposal of the Canterbury Land Board. to ballot for a certain section in order that tho section might be sold at auction. Jn this connexion, he added, the Prime Minister appointed to the Land Board Mr Gee, theson-in-law\pf Mr Holden, who was seeking' to retain this section. Ho dropped Mr, Gibson, and appointed Mr Gee. A more deplorable appointment, ho said,., had never been made. ..." . "
