Tho "Sydney Morning Herald/ , commenting "on the extension of Gorman shipping to Now Zealand, says: —"Hitherto European t:ado to New Zealand has been carried almost exclusively by British ships. As members of the "British Empire, vro must regret that their virtual monopoly is soon to be lost, but even the most inveterate Antipodean Chauvinist can hardly find any grievance in this."
