DISSOLUTION NEXT MONTH
(By Cable.—Press Associstion.—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, Juno 11. Tho House granted Supply. In Committee, the Treasurer (Sir John Forrest) made a statement, indicating that the financial year would end with a surplus of £824,305. The Opposition resumed tho stonewall, with a view to forcing the Prime Minister to make a further statement regarding tho advice tendered by him to Sir R. Munro-Ferguson. Tho debate was adjourned, probably until next week. Tho Senato read tho Referenda Bill a third time. A conference of tho Federal parties failed to reach an agreement regarding the conduct of business, but it is understood that an arrangement was made whereby a dissolution will be proclaimed on July 20th. Tho elections will bo held, if possible, on September sth.
Strenuous efforts are being made to complete tho new rolls.
