The Christian Endeavour Societies held a rally m Tnmty Schoolroom on Wed Way There were 12 senior, 2 intermediate/and 6 junior Societies represented.* ...he AcT A. JS. Sootter occupied the chair. The chairman emphasised the fact that in all church**, there were two elates, endeavoorers and othentiM;.those who worked for tbeprogreS and uplitt of the church, and those who w«e content to iean upon tie enterprise of others. The Rev. Mx JSetson gave an ad™Tt£ D P^ , " K « !ati °° *<**«* the Church and tha Ci,. He said that the movement was 32 years of age, and had a membership of about 4 000,000. Christian work in different countries vrae dealt with, and the speaker closed with an earnest a? peal for whole-hearted effort in each individual Soctety. The late president of the OE. Union (Mr L. W. Toiler) thereupon presented the president's album to the Eer A. N. Scotter, and wished him prosperity' in his office. Dunng the evening several hymns were eung, in addition to items by Misses Matthews and Hobday.
