DISTRESS IN AMERICA.

NEW YORK, June 9. A heat wave is causing great distress. At Cleveland tho heat caused tho death of a man and a baby, and prostrated five others. New York is sweltering * under its influence, and one death has already been reported. At Pittsburg three deaths are reported. The June temperatures are a record.
