Tho Admiralty is makfng a special etndy of the. prevention of disease in tho Navy. Those who have suffered from enr-eric will bo periodically examined, and men engaged in tho canteens will not bo allowed to handle food unless their medical history proves that they aro uot germ-carriers. NEW ZEALAND'S NAVAL ADVISER. (Received Juno 9th, 8.20 p.m.) FREMANTLE, June 9Captain. Hall-Thompson, Naval Advisor to the Now Zealand Government, arrived to-day by the Osterley. Questioned as to his duties in Now Zealand, ho said he had heard nothing definite, as affairs seemed to bo a trifle chaotic. He understood that New Zealand wanted to adopt a naval system something different from that prevailing at present. Probably ho would romain in the Dominion for threo years.
