Two London County Councillors are said to liavo experienced a fcurpriso at an elementary school in Gerkenwcll the other day. Pease, tho President of tho Board of Education, himself has had a similar experience lately, when visiting a school which is situated near a railway station. A p'rl was reading aloud when a train rtishod by almost dcafeningly.
