OLYMPIA SKATING RINK.

The Olymp:a Skating Rink presented quite a gala appearance last night on the occasion of the grand fancy poster carnival. The attendance of spectators was yeiy, large, and the floor was crowded with skaters in fancy dress breat variety was shown in the costumes chosen, and the scene presented during the grand march was a brilliant and pleasing one. Close upon' three hundred skaters took part. Some of tho fancy dresses and poster costumes wore vorv striking. There woro two or three suffragettes, some of them uerng of the extremely militant variety, as they carried with them cylinders marked "Bomb." but, apart from the word, the cylinders looked perfectly harmless. Several clowns and policemen, and a skater got up to represent a rooster, added a docidedlv humorous touch to the gathering. The audience decided by ballot which was the most striking and beautiful costume. There were several competitions and. races, and a fancy dross hockey, match.
