PARTITION VIEWED WITH ALARM.

Tho "Morning Post's" Paris correspondent, says that the suggested partition of tho New Hebrides has caused some apprehension iv colonial -.-> circles, because no one in France baa a good knowledge of the Now Hebrides. ..Tne French colonists are settled near tho coast, and therefore have no tim& t<) explore the interior, -whereas English missionaries have travelled throughout the islands. "Lβ Temps" deduces that partition is the only logical solution, but it should not be made until France lias thoroughly explored tbo islands. -
