Tho Waimate Scottish Association intend to celebrate tho GOOth anniversary of Baunoekburn. which falls on th< 24th inst. Tho Oddfellows' ball. at Morven. Ui a big success. About 90 couples took part in the cranid march. The music was supplied by Mr Noster (piano) and Mr Jacobs (violin), and extras! were played by Mr J. Mc\lecr. Mr Harry danced the sailor's hornpipo." Tlie supper was in keepins with tho general excellence of the function.
Since 1911, the total Waimate county capital valuntion has been increased by nearly £LoOO,OOO. yet not a single objection has been filed in the Assessment Court. This is surely a record.
