THE ORDER OF THE STAR IN THE EAST.
"The June public s~'sembly of the Order of the Star in the East drew n large attondanco yesterduy afternoon. The speaker, Hiss C. W. Christie, organising secretary, gave tho address, and stated that tho Woridteachcr expected by many members of the OTder was not the cosmic Christ at wboso coming tho world was rolled tip like a ecroll. That, said the speaker, could not occur till seventh-raca humanity, God-like in form, had completed its cvo'ution thou c and3 of yeara henco. Hies Christie went on to fay: —"The World Teacher is our EHer Hr.ther —a- superman or divine man, who has suffered all that a human being can enffer, and who hae conquered death and em, so, knowing , all, is perfect in sympathy, divine compassion, andtpower. He is thu-', reverently let it be spoken, fitted to hold tho office of Christ —Lord of all the religions of the world, and loves all equally. Hβ comee, not at the end of the worlJ, but at the end of a diaperuiation or age, to give a new keynote of religion to advancing humanity. Many of us espect Him in about 15 years, and those who me?ntime deve'op within themselves the myotic Christ '"hich in time makes them each one, a Uttlo child in the kin?dotxi of heaven, will know Him as they did when He came two tbo'-sand '•ears aga; wMie those who have not the Ch r ist spirit erfficiently developed, will 'see no beauty in Him that they t'could desire Him.' "
