TAI TAPU.
In Christchurch on Saturday the Hon. R. .H. Rhodes, introduced to the Prime Minister a deputation of Tai Tapu residents, who asked for some assistance from the Government towards the establishment of tho new Domain at Tai Tapu. It was pointed out that if the supporters of tho Domain were brought under the provisions of 4he Act and formed into a Domain Board, it could not ask for a grant. It was suggested that some alteration should be made in the Act, so that it could get -fcho grant, and tho amount wanted was £500. The Prime Minister eaid that such a 6um was quite out of the question, but he would go into the matter with their member and see what could be done.
