Pruning should be pushed on with, getting the work done early, so that other work may bo undertaken when spring arrives. Now is the timo to spray for insect pests, such as scalo and American blight. At this season, when tho trees arc dormant, the application of such sprays may bo stronger in character; this without doing damage to the tree. For. fungus blights on peaches, nectarines, roses, etc., the winter solution of the Bordeaux mixture may be applied. Remember the principle in spraying not to do this work on a damp day, nor apply when tho stems or foliago aro damp.
