TANGO COMPETITION*

Tho tango competition at the Opera Honso was completed last night, when tho theatre was crowded in all partsSeven couples, comprising the second section of those taking part in the competition, faced the house, and performed tho dance-. Mr. Phillips, who had instructed tho competitors, was again in charge. Ivo. 1 lady was a young girl .in tangerine. She was very sure-footed, and danced gracefully. No,. 2 appeared in a light rose costume. Her partner was jumpy, but tho girl herself was the embodiment of solemnity. No. 3 was an attractive girl in white, and was very graceful in her movements. Her partner also posseted the faculty of grace in dancing. No. -1 was a little short-skirted girl in pink. Siie and her youthful partner danced well, and finished up effectively in tho centre of the stage. No. o was a blueflounced damsel not too sure ou her feet.
