OPERA HOUSE.
There was a large and enthusiastic holiday audience at the Opera House last night, and the vaudeville programme was greatly enjoyed. Josephine Gassmau and her piccaninies.. Phillips and Merritt, Dennis Carney, a"d other members of the company wore very successful in their items. To-night is tho night of the Grand Final Tango Competition, which \will be {riven in addition to tbo usual vaudeville programme. The conditions of to-night's Final Competition aro as follow: —The three successful couples of Tuesday's, competition will compete against tho three successful couples of to-night's competition. After the expiration of this competition, six couples will dance for the. Grand Final. The presentation of! prizes to tho successful competitors will take place immediately after the competition. Tho audience will be the judges. As the management anticipate a record house, patrons arc advised to book their seat, at Miiner and Thompson's Music Warehouse. The plan will bo open all day.
