Tho Waimairi County Council, in a lengthy letter, protested against the present apportionment o? rates for the upkeep of the Domain, and considered that as the Domain "e-cisted entirely for the benefit of the citizens of Christchurch," the County should not be called upon to give a sum four to eight times as much as it had previously considered a fair contribution.
