(PIUtSS ASSOCIATIOV -rXLE_-HA*_.) **" WELLLNGTOX, June 2. Thero were several narrow escapes of inmates during the destruction by fire of a six-roomed residence at Miramar last- evening. Tho houso was' owned by W. Tait, and occupied by F. TurabuU. The outbreak was duo to tho falling "an oil lamp. Two firemen, Mann and Harris, were injured through a chimney falling on them. Tho former was seriously hurt.
