DOMINION BOY SCOUTS.
A% the annual meeting of the council of tlie Dominion Boy ejeouts, the Dominion. , Commissioner, Colonel Coss-grove,-V.D., occupied" the cnair, and tnere was a fair attendance of the .members of the council.
Apologies were received from the Rigut Hon. W. F. Massey, Major J. Gill, Mr R.-'S.-Abraham. Mr J. V. Brown, M.P., Major-General Godley, Major Saiidiord, Mr H. H. Smith: Dr. Fenwick, Sir Cecil-Moon, and the Hon. C. Louisson.
The chairman read the annual report which was received and adopted.
Donations woro received from tho Rt. Hon. W. _'. Massoy £2 2s, Mr Orton Bradley £2, and anonymous £2 2s. The annual balanc-o-shoet showed a balance in hand of £20 Os 6d. The balance-sheet was adopted. The- Chief Commissioner intimated that he had appointed the council for the ensuing year with the addition of Sir Cecil Moon, and that he was approaching, the Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey, Prime Minister, with a view to asking him to accept the position of patron. The following members were elected io the executive: —Dr. Fenwick. 5.0.M.: Dr. Inglis, 5.0.M.: Colonel Cresswell, M.D.: Sir Cecil Moon Rev. W. H. Orbell, H.S.W., and H.S. J. Goodman, H.S.W. A meeting of the Executive Committee -was subsequently held. The Dominion Commissioner, Colonel Cossgrove, V.D., occupied the chair, and there were also present Dr. Inglisj 5.0.M., Colonel Cresswell, V.D., H. S. J. Goodman, H.S.W. the hon secretary, Rev. W. H. Orbell, H.S.W. The Rev. W. H. Orbell was reelected hon. secretary for the ensuing year, Mr H. S. J. Goodman hon. treasurer, and Colonel Cresswell trustee. Mr H. H. Smith was re-appointed auditor, and Dr. Fenwick was elected chairman.
Letters were received from various centres regarding the examination of bcout masters. It was decided that this matter was a question for the local committee, as no regulations were in existence compelling Scout masters to be examined.
