Playing on the Merivnlo ground, Marists defeated Merivalo after a good game, by 6 points to nil. For the winners F. Smith scored and Khouri kicked a penalty goal. Mr C. Evans refereed. Lvttelton defeated North Canterbury at Rangiora by 3 points to ml- F.
At a match played at Methven in connexion with the Ashburton County Rugby Union's competitions, Methven beat Southern Cross by 23 to 3. The Ashburton Junior Grade team met the Southern Cross junior team, and tho match resulted in a draw, each
side scoring three points. The Ashburton third grade team beat Southern Cross third grade team by G to 3.
