. TO-NIGHT'S BENEFIT CONCERT. ' A concert in aid of the fund for tho Open-air Home for Children will be given in the King's Theaire this evening, under the patronage of the Mayor. A very attractive programme has been arranged as follows:—Character dialogue, "Bumble's Courtship," by Mr F. McDonald and Miss Thiel; soprano solo, "Villanello" (Dellaqua), by Miss E. Croxton; quartet, "The Rosary," by Misses Stringer and Saunders anil Messrs Hannah and Cox; recitation, by Miss Saunders; baritone solo. "Lend xMe Your Aid" (Gounod), by Mr H. J. Cocks; contralto solo, "Summer Night," by Miss Maud Stringer; bass solo w by Air A. L.Cropp; soprano solo, "When the Heart is Young," by Miss Monica Davenport; baritone solo, "Toreador Song." by-Mr F. Hannah; pianoforte solo, "Romanco of the Ball," by Master F. Cordery; quartet by Messrs Millar, March, Vincent, and Cookson; soprano solo, "So Fair a Flower," by Miss E. Croxton; bass-solo by Mr C. Joll; character sketch, "Jo," by Miss E. Devereaux; soprano solo, "Avo Maria" (Schubert), by Miss Monica Davenport; baritone solo, "Song of the Torrent," by Mr F. Hannah; contralto solo. "The Three Fishers" (Hullah), by Miss Maud Stringer; recitation, "Tho Elocution Class," by Mr C. J. Smith; violin solo, by Mr It. L. Clarke; and baritone solo,'"The Devout Lover," by Mr J. H. Cocks.

A meeting of the committee of the North-East district of tho Open-air Home for Children Fund will w> held in the Baptist schoolroom, Oxford terrace, on Monday next, at 7.30 p.m. Mrs Keanc, Miss Geaney, and Sister Rochfort will be pleased if willing helpers will attend. Sister Rochfort, Mesdanies Fountain and Humphreys, and Miss Faulkner will hs pleased, to receive the names of any ladies who are, desirous of assisting in the work.
