VIBURNUM MACROCEPHALUM.

(The Large-headed Viburnum.) . This is an immense flowering variety of tho Guelder Rose, and is but little known among horticulturists in tho Dominion. It is a native of China, and although known to botanists for " a long time, there has been .a delay in its recognition by the commercial horticulturist. During the last few years, however, it has come into its own, and is now much sought after in Europe and America. It is like the Guelder Roso in some respects, but quite four or five times larger tn the size of the" truss. It is not globular in shape,' but pyramidal, and in this respect distinctive. Tho flowers are freely borne, arid are highly decorative. There are several fine specimens in New Zealand which n-.ake a yearly display.
