Tho "Daily Chronicle" states that a number of Down and Antrim farmers wero not aver_o to their sons joining Sir Edward Carson's "Volunteers with the object of drilling, but they became startled on learning that rifles and ammunition were about to be individually distributed, and tho proposed recipients are anxiously enquiring as to tho legalit3' °f receiving arms.
