The Australian submarines have left Malta en route to Australia. The German forces in tho stormed a village protected by railings and! bullet-proof shelters. Rain, however, rendered the rifles of the natives useless, and the chief was compelled to submit. The Health Officer of the Port of London reports that 398 buttocks ot Australian meat examined tweive per cent, contained worm-nests. The meat boro the official cci tificate of the Commonwealth.
