PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby (riven that a POLL of the RATEPAYERS of the BOROUGH OF LYTTELTON will bo taken on THURSDAY, the 19th day of March, 1914, on the proposals of the Lyttelton Borough Council to Raise Special Loans of tho several amounts and for tho pnrposes set out in an advertisement appearing- in tho "Lyttelton Time?" and "Press"' newspapers on the 18th and 25th February and the 4th and llth of March, 1914. A special passenger train will leave Christchurch for Ashburton at 9.0 ajn., Ashburton arrive 11.15 a.m., returning from Ashburton 4.60 p.m., Saleyards Siding 6.0, arriving Christchnrch 7.17 p.m. Excursion tickets will not be available by the 8.0 a.m. express train from Christchurch and Rakaia, nor from Christchurch, Addington, Hornby, Rolleston, Duncandel, Rakaia, nnd Cheitsey, by 8.10 asm.
