OPERA HOUSE.
Tho Opera House was splendidly patronised last night when a new programme was presented by tho FullerBrennan Vaudeville Co. Several now artists appeared, and submitted entertaining turns while the performers who were on last week, gave entirely new items. The Georgia Ttio, dancing comedians, presented a most novel and entertaining "act which brought down the house. Their dancing included the latest American steps, together with a great deal of introduced comedy movement, and tho turn altogether was fresh and iunny. Misses Fern and Lizette. two ladies direct from San Francisco," appeared as instrumentalists and vocalists. They achieved the better success in tho former department. N One played Rulwnsteiii's Melody in F, 'as it wa> writ ten." and then b.v way of ■variation handed it out in double ragtime. This effect was an eye-opener. The other lady, as part of her work, gave some trombone selections which pleased the audience. Mr Charles Zoli, an English character impersonator, also appeared for the fitst tiice. He has a good notion of what constitutes stage comedy, and the old favourite numbers lie sang gained a new freshness by his way of presenting them. Another new artist was Mr George Rowley, an American dancer, who exhibited considerable skill and ingenuity in his turn. Mr William G. Innis. tho winner of last week's competitions, gave some of his whistling specialties. Mr Innis was nervous, but ho performed really well. He whistles more as a flute does, and he does not affect that ear-splitting shriek which so many whistling artists consider to be the summit of their art. "Little Mollie," a juvenile performer, with an excellent vaudeville voice, sang two numbers and was enthusiastically applauded. Miss Margaret Caraher, soprano, was also greeted with prolonged applause, and successful turns were provided- by Misses Clayton and Croan, serios and dancers. Weston a.ti Hill, comedy duo, "Jolly Fanny Rice." miniature mimic, "Chief Eagle Horse," Indian baritone, and Mr Vernade, hand balancer. To-night tho same bill will be given.
