PITCAIRN ISLANDERS.
SHORT OF FOODSTUFFS.

The American barque Afonlaw reports that when off Pitcairn Island two boats, with thirty-four islanders, cade alongside.
They reported that the islanders were short of bread and other commodities, and obtained a supply of food and clothing in exchange for poultry, vegetables and, fruit.
The islanders reported all well on Pitcairn.
A gale had destroyed the plantations some time ago, but they were recovering from the effects of the storm.
