(BT Orjß COMMERCIAL EDITOB.) Friday Evening. The wheat market has been fairly quiet during the week, and few purchases hare been made direct from growers. Tuscan is easier than it was last week, but Hunter's and Pearl have maintained their values better. Up to 3s 8d has been given for Pearl at

fi»uidy stations, but the best price.now offered for Tuscan is &, (id, while last week nt least a halfpenny more oould have been obtained. Growers are still holding firmly on to oats, and aji buyers cannot make any advance in the absence of a market, business in this cereal is practically at a standstill. There is likewise little doing in barley or oatsheal chaff. The potato market shows no change, and £2 10s for forward delivery is all that most buyers trill offer, and at thi.s price a few sales are being made, but growers generally will not sell at present, as crops that have been dug have not turned out too well. Onions are again easier, £3 ]-3s to £4 now beiim paid at country stations. Ryegrass— l s 9d to 2.s Id for host .samples: Is fid to Is Sd for inferior. Cocksfoot—Bright and hoavv samples, 3}d to -I.d; average, 3d to 3-id. Flour—£9 10s nor ton: 1001b bags, £10; 501b bags, £10 ss: 231b bags. £10 10s. Bran —£-1 os per ton, local. Pollard —£fi jH>r ton. Oatmeal—£l2 per ton. Ontsheaf Cliaff —£2 5s for g<x>d Ram pies.

Onions—£3 los to £4. Potatoes—€ 2 l(h to £2 l->s for March-April delivery.
