Messrs Oaddock McCWtie. Company held an auction _sal»- of dtv. suburban ami country properties in' their land -sale rooms on Thursday afternoon, at which there was a large attendance. The following wiles were effected :—On account of Wilson's Trustees. 10 acres situate at Whitecliffs, to Mr C A Opie; 20 acres at Whitecliffs. close to township, to Mr Woodcock : section and hou.se, situate Hutcheson street. Mvdenham. to Mr J. Court. 'Lyndhurst'." at corner of Montreal street and Bealey avenue, a fine city residential property, was passed in to Mr Eastgato at *£2700 The bidding started at £2000 ' and quickly ran to the figure mentioned, being slightly under the Trustees' reserve. The property known as "Mra" Buildings, situate Lichfield stroet. was then submitted. The bidding started at £7000 and wonfrapidry up to £8500, at which figure it was passed in. An offer up to tho reserve is expected during 'the week. 6
