MELBOURNE. March 5. The stevedores have decided to work overtime. This clears the way to the hearing of the waterside workers' case, which Mr Justice Higgins would not take while the men were on strike. (Received March sth, 9.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, March 5. Mr Justice Higgins, in adjourning the wharf labourers' case till Monday, conjrratulated the employers union leaaers, and above al], the public that a threatened disaster had been averted. The shipowners had exercised wise patience in not talcing certain steps which would have precipitated a general struggle much greater than the recent one in New Zealand.
