KAIAPOI.

The Kaiapoi Borough Council met •last night. Present: —The Mayor (Mr 11. Wylie), Crs. Robb, Barnard, Rinaldi, Dunn, Garneii, and Williams. The district engineer stated that tho fence on Adams street would be removed and the right-of-way restored. The Ckristchurch City Council agreed to support the Council's application to the Government for weather reports from tie Beaky. A Johnson and DDrown applied for refunds of half rates on unoccupied premises. The receipts for the fortnight were £12 13s, and the overdraft was stated to be £861 5s Bd. It was decided to consider the matter of furnishing the Fire Brigade with new uniforms and improving the band rotunda ate when the estimates were being framed. Sitting as the Domain Board, it was resolved to erect two fireplaces at the end of the Beach road, and also at Kairaki. A return of persons holding camping licensee at Kairaki was ordered to be furnished at next meeting.
