CRIMINAL SESSIONS AT INVERGARGILL.

(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) INVERCARGILL, March 3. Tho Supreme Court opened before Mr Justice Sim to-day. The calendar contains ten charges against seven persons. William Johnston, 'aged 30, a married man, pleaded guilty to attempting to assault a.single woman. His Honour said the circumstances were peculiar, and accused appeared to have borne a good character. Prisoner was fined £25. Alexander Jones, 19 years of t age, charged with stealing from a dwelling, wae released on probation. Edward Harland and Duncan McDougall were charged with breaking into the warehouse of Bray Brothers, auctioneers. Harland pleaded guilty, and was remanded for sentence.
