CANTERBURY AMATEUK CHAMPIOXSHIPS. Tho Canterbury Centre of the N.Z.A.A.A. held tho first of a series of evening meetinge lost night. Three championship events were decided, but neither the attendance nor the fields were very encouraging, and the resuscitation of amateur athletics in Christchurch etill needs- to be accomplished. The officials were: —Judges, Messrs P. ATenzfce; F' S. Harley, and Proftssor Blunt; timekeepers, Messrs C. R. 'Whalo and F. H. Salter; starter, ilr A. E. Flower; stewards, M-f?srs C. S.
