(Received March -ith. 12.36 a.m.) LONDON, March 3. Mr Ramsay Mac Donald, on behalf of the joiLi Labour organisations, cabled to General Botha to remember the attitude of British Labour when South Africa went to vrar, and to withdraw the banishment clause.

General Botha replied that he was much impressed, but was convinced that withdrawal would not be in the interests of organised Labour in South Africa.
