In the debate in the House of Commons on the Immigration Bill, Mr Kodolpbe Lemieux deciared that the Hiiidoo problem in British Colombia, had reached an acute stage, and emphasised the acikm takea-nn New Zealand and Australia. Other speakers referred to the economic disturbances caused in lands where la tour was well paid by the incursion of people accustomed to the lowest standard of liTJng- On the other hand, speakers pointed oat the necessity of preserving friendly relations •wiih China and Japan owing to the g:cwth of Canadian trade w;th those countries. During the debate, Mr H- H. Swvens, member for V&noouver CSty, quoted from secitious articles published vi the vernacular in a San Francisco paper entitled "The Mutiny."
