FIRST ROUm The first round of tho Stead Cup competition was then played. Christchurch (10) beat Rangiora (3). Tho teams were:—Christchurch (Red): Captain Hutton (3), H. In tho final spell Whites forced the pace, and put in come good club -work. Baiey, who was playing won, took the ball and shot a nice goal. On changing ends Whites made a fast charge and Bailey making a h.t at long range, almoet scored, the ball curving acd passing juet clear of tte post.
