(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) BLENHEIM, February 16. The New Zealand amateur swimming championship meeting opened here this evening, under ideal conditions. There waa a very large attendance of the public. - Over 100 visiting swimmers' were present. The entries for all the events are large, and there ia every promise of tho meeting being highly successful. Result.: — 75 YARDS INTER-CLUB HANDICAP. Levy (Wellington) .. -. .. 1 Bristed (Nelson, late of Christchurch) .. 2 Wilton (Picton) .. -. -. -.3 Won with little to spare, the third man well back. This» was swum in ten heate, a semi-final, and a final. The entries numbered 60.
