The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is estimated at 3.205.000 quarters, and for the Continent at I,SSO.COO quarters. Atlantic shipments are 338,000; Pacific. 30.000. Total to Europe for the week, 1,480.000; from Australasia, 224,000 Hemp—The market- is quiet. Janu-ary-March £-6. i_i:bber—Para, 3s IJd; plantation, 2s 6.d: smoked, 2s 7d. Copra —The market is dull, and small business is doing. South Sea bags, £2S 12s Gd to £23 15s. Tin Plates—£l3 6s to £14 6s. Iron Bars—£7 10s. Anglo Steel—£s 12s 6d. Tram Raile—£s 10s.

The following is the High Commisr sioncr's market report, dated London, February 14th. (Note: Unless otherwise specified, quotations are the average market prices on spot.): —

Meat —Generally on account of dull trade, holders are accepting a smah reduction in prices, with the result that there is a better demand for mutton and lamb.

Mutton—North Island, per lb, 4|d; owes, 4id.

Lamb —Other than Canterbury, 6}d

Beef —The market is 6teady. New Zealand hinds, 4_d: fores. 4d. Supplies of American chilled beef are large, with a yood demand. Hinds, sd; fores, 4£d.

Butter —The market is quiet, and prices are slightly weaker for New Zealand. The expected demand has not materialised. The T>anish market is quiet fit, i>er cwt, 120s to 1235. The New Zealand market is quiet at 113s to 116s. Australian is in fair demand at IOC/s to 112s. The Argentine market is quiet at 110s to 112s. Siberian is in fair demand at 110s to 112s.

Cheese —The market is steady, and prices are well maintained, with a fair demand for New Zealand. The market is firm for Canadian, owing to short simply. Canadian white. 68s to 70s: coloured. 70s to 7'2s. New Zealand whito, 63s to 645; coloured. 60s to 6tis. Hemp—The Manila market is easier; (nir current, per ton. £28: January to March shipments, £28 os. The outDitt from Manila for the week was 23,000 bales.

The New Zealand market is quiet, with a tendency in favour of buyers. DoTTi'-nion offering is very small. Good to fair grade, £2. r > 10s; fair grade. £23 os; January to March shipments, good to fair gride, £2.5 los; fair grade. £_>3 10s; May to July shipments, about 5s more.

Sisal —The New York market is firm at last nuotations.

Tow —Thero is a better demand. Nominal value for third grade, per ton, £10 los to £11. Other quotations same as before. The stock at the end of January was lo__ tons. "Wool —The market remains firm, and good business has been done, both in tops and yarns. Spinners are much better employed. Hops —The market is weaker, and prices are slightly lower, though a full snpplv has increased buying. English, per cwt, 130s to 160s; American, 90s to 120s.
