PREPARING TOR THE SUPPLY. CABLE AND INSULATORS WANTED. Tho following report relating to tho Lata) Coleridge- electrical supply was presented to the City Council last night by tho Electricity Committee; —

A number of houses in St. Albans snd other parts havo baea ready for connexicn for a coasiderablo time, hut until the cable comes to hand nothing, further can b* done in tha matter. Storif-e cf Plans.—The Electrical Engineer drew attention, to the necessity for safoguardins from the _>.a__ ia connexion, with the -le-tricsl uudertaking. He recommended the purchase of a suitable fire-proof box of eufficiom -is- in which to 6%0z0 tbein. the estimated cost of the- box is J-JO, and tho -orun-itteo has authorised the eo&struotion at one.
