GLOBE THEATRE.

"When Mountain and Valley .Meet" was the star film screened at the Globe Theatre yesterday, wn.ii :. now programme was presented. The plot was a most effective one, ami the drama was splendidly acted uv a capable company. Some of the scenes wero particularly telling, and the film generally was an undoubted success. Itscreening produced hearty applause from the patrons. "Arabia the Equine Detective," was a film p___e_sing _t strong interest, in that it showed a horse performing detective's work. The skill of the animal was something amazing, and the picture snowed to what high state of perfection animal training can be brought. Apart from tho interest attaching to the horse, there was a very good plot, which aroused the intense interest of those who witnessed the film. The latest "Warwick Chronicle," which is always an attractive feature of the hew programme-, was an especially good number. It showed all the latest happenings, and 'formed a striking pictorial record. •'Two Men and a. Mule" was a decidedly good comedy, most of the fun being provided by the humble animal. Another hmghter film was "Cohen Saves the Flag." This dealt with tho doughty deeds of a comic hero who performs marvels uf valour in a Don Quixotic way. There were largo attendances of patrons at all sessions yesterday, and the programme wa.s wpll enjoyed by everybody. To-day the sauio films will be screened continuously from noon till 10.30 p.m.
