GRAND-THEATRE

"At the Wheel,'' a drama by the Nordisk Company, is the "star" attraction of the new programme now being screened at the Grand Theatre. It is a drama out of the common run, ihe plot taking place on the sea. Tho setting and photography, as well as fhe acting, are quite up to the standard of tho best productions of the company. The plot is a thrilling one. A boatswain on one of the large liners takes his sweetheart on one of his voyages. __ The captain, however, falls in love with the girl, and his love is reciprocated. The boatswain thereupon tries to shoot both the captain and his sweetheart. He is overpowered by some of tho officers, placed in irons and handed over to the police of the nearest port, and the other two get married. The captain introduces his wife to a largo shipping merchant, who in turn falls in love with the girl. The boatswain, released from gaol, follows the couple to a motor boat, and turns the boat adrift. The three aro {•oon away on the ocean. The boatswain lets the water into the boat, and at the point of a revolver renders tho couple helpless while the boat gradually sinks. A party with the captain aboard another motor launch give chase, but arrive too late, and the three are drowned. There is a capital supporting programme, including the popular "Eclair Journal," a special feature which will be of interest to the ladies being the latest Paris fashions. Other items are "A Story of Lavinia" iSelig drama), "A Mi*--up in Bandits" (Nestor comedy), and what is perhaps mast interesting of all, "Experiments in Liquid Air," a finely illustrated film

by the Majestic Company. The same programme will be shown continuously to-day and to-night.
