DRUNKENNESS. Four first offenders for drunkenness were each fined five shillings, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment. VAGRANCY. Henry Burton was charged that, on Febuary 7th, he was deemed to be an idle and disorderly person, in that he had insufficient lawful means of support. Accused was sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labour. BEGGING ALMS. Michael Dempsey was convicted and discharged for begging alms. A SERIOUS CHARGE. Frank Morton, an employee in a motor garage in the city, was remanded until Friday, on a charge that, on February 6th," 1914. he did an indecent act, with tho intention to offend another person. Chief-Detective Bishop prosecuted. ALLEGED THEFT. Albert Frederick Johnston, a six-teen-year-oJd boy, pleaded not guilty to the theft of a bicycle valued at 30s, tb<* property of Dr. Courtney Nedwill, but guilty to a further charge of theft of a pair of boots, valued at 20s, tho property of-the same person. Chief-Detectivo Bishop applied for, and was c a remand until tomorrow.
