FRENCH POLITICS
PROPOSED CATHOLIC PARTY.
(By C*We.—Pree Aseociatioa.—CopyT^ht) PA&IS, February 13.
The Catholic members of Parliament trying to form a great Catholic party, sought Papal approbation.
The Vatican replied that it could only look favourably on the movement if it commended itself to the whole French episcopate.
The bishops are disposed to view the innovation in a hostile light, as being dangerous to the welfare of the Church.
