AUCKLAND. February 12. The New Zealand Pharmacy' Board has decided to divide the standard examinations into three sections, viz., preliminary, intermediate, and' finaK and apply the requirements of the Junior Civil Service examination with the exception of Latin to the preliminary examination.

The desirability of taking action aupportinjr legislative treatment for venereal diseases was considered, but as no definite proposals were put before the conference, the subject was adjourned, but it was made clear that chemists were not prescribing drugs and had very little to do with the treatment of such cases.
