FLOWER SHOW AT PAPANUI.

The annual Horticultural Show in aid of the building fund of St. Paul's schoolroom, Papanui, was opened yesterday afternoon. Tkere was & very fine display of flowers, notably oi rosea. dahlias, gladioli, sweet peas. and aster*. In the section for exhibition only, Mrs McHale and Mr J. Blumekey had comprehensive displays of cut blooms, Mrs Convray Mate on -a bowl of Toses, Mrs Xiven a handsome lily, Mrs Caverhill «we«: pea* and lobelias, Mr Sipthorp come mnguiiicent gladioli, and Mr T. W. North an assortment of fruit. There was a. large attendance*, and the flowers were much admired. Afternoon t«» was dispensed by Mr* Thorn «nd a number of young ladies. PRIZE LIST.
