The 1914 meeting of the Congregational Union of New Zealand opened at tho Town Hall Concert Chamber tonight, when a public welcome was tendered to the I?ev. I)r. Adeney and Mrs Adeney, and visiting delegates. The Union Committee met this afternoon to arrange the business of the session and prepare reports.
The annual meeting opens for council business in the morning. In the evening the address of the chairman (the Hon. George Fowlds) will be submitted.
